Jonathan has worked in safety since 2008 when he started his own business consulting for construction companies in the region. In 2013, Jonathan was hired by Shell Canada as Chief Safety Officer at the Fort McMurray Oil Refinery in Alberta Canada. In 2017 he began working for a large construction conglomerate where he oversaw safety and compliance for nine companies spanning several industries. His responsibilities included creating a safety program that satisfied the requirements of OSHA, DOT, FMCSA, MSHA, and other regulatory bodies. In 2016 Jonathan became certified by the NFPA Fire Ground Safety Coordinator and was appointed as a safety officer for his local fire department. He continues to assist with department safety during large events such as structure fires, MVC, and other special situations. Jonathan holds his degree in Occupation Health and Safety from Bridgewater State University. He has OSHA certified for General Industry and Construction compliancy. He is an American Safety Council Advanced Safe Certified as well as a certified National Safety Officer (NCSO). Jonathan has written several safety-related articles for Construction Outlook, OHS Magazine, and Fire House Magazine.
